My name is Elizabeth Vegvary. I'm a photographer specializing in capturing images from the womanly years of pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding. With the birth of my first child in 1990, my life became defined through the miracle of pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and mothering. I was completely consumed by the experience of "nurturing. I volunteered in my community as both a La Leche League Leader and Certified Lactation Educator for eight years while also providing breast pumps and counseling services through Diablo Valley Lactation Services, my home-based business. I served on the Contra Costa County Breastfeeding Task Force from 1994 - 1998 and I feel that many of our underprivileged mothers were well served by the volunteerism of its members. After the natural childbirth of my second child I considered becoming a birth instructor. However, during my week-long Bradley Teacher Training Course, I fell in love with the imaging of the birth experience and not the teaching of it. My lifetime love of photography became a vehicle for an artistic expression through which I could offer a re-remembering of the early mothering years to other women With the creation of Angel Photography, my hope is that I can capture images of my clients which go deeper than the paper they are printed on. I always strive to offer the best of myself, my visions and my skills to every job I accept. Beautiful and personal image-making is the optimum and only acceptable result of all my photography. I use professional equipment and have back-up gear for all my cameras. I shoot medium format with Hasselblad equipment and 35 mm with Nikon gear. I use a local professional film developing lab which allows me a greater range of films and finishings with the fastest turn-around time. I have an account with Art Leather and encourage my clients to have their finished prints archived in these gorgeous heirloom albums. I am a member of Wedding & Portrait Photographers International and regularly attend workshops and seminars in order to insure that my skills stay finely honed and my work contemporary. I encourage you to call today. I would love to discuss with you how we can best capture the miracle of your pregnancy, birth and nursing relationship through the photographic arts. I look forward to speaking with you soon! |
